I understand...

First off, it's spring break for Mr.Ashu. Boy, is he excited or what!! :-) He's going to Victory gymnastics for day camp and is all super charged :-) He loves it there. Talked to his teacher on Friday (b4 the spring break) and she said that he's going great with A.R. He used to get in lot of trouble when he was doing lower level books as he used to finish them fast. She said she is giving him 3.8 level books now and it's longer and keeps him occupied. I asked her if he's comprehending well and she said she tests him on that too and he's doing awesome :-) Guess what? after all the compliments he came home with 2 cards for talking during the class hours!!
Talking is in the genes..don't know how to fix that part ;-)

Aj, is going to be the next A.R.Rahman :-) He sings all the time and catches the tune very fast. Y'day i was watching Vaali in bits and pieces. He was sitting and playing near by and looked at the t.v only during commercials and songs. Well, he listened to sona , i love you love you da song just once and later when i was trying to make him sleep he was singing sona i wuv voo wuv voo in the same tune. I was so surprised. Now he sings some ads like amma gumma semma strong-a! When sun dish (or whatever that is) comes, he says Veetukku veedu sun tan tan tan! I knew both the ads only after he said that!!

Now he recognizes all the colours. Pink, blue, green (gween), red (Ved), yellow (lello), orange (owange), black, white, purple. Today, Ms.Kathy asked me to dress him up in something green tomorrow as it is St.Patricks day. Aj said 'dress in something blue', dress in something owange..and he went on with all the colours except green! :) She was laughing so much.
When i dropped him in the morning and said bye..he said 'bye, see you, u too'. I said 'Have a good day' expecting him to repeat as he is in the mirror me mode. He said 'you too' like a big boy! :)

Yday, he opened ashu's construction toy box and dumped the whole thing. It had small parts in it, so i hurriedly put them back and told him not to touch that box as it is Ashu anna's. He said 'I unnershtaandh' (I understand). B and I couldn't control our laughter :) More later folks..i am in a roll here ...typed (and copied pasted) a lot today.

found the update... :-)

Ok, i did a search in my gmail and found the updates :

Here you go.. (Thanks to the wonderful soul that found ctrl+c, ctrl + v :))
Feb 14 -----------

We took a bold step and went to the indian restaurent with both the kids and guess what..aj didn't trouble much and both kids ate quite good..usually, it's such a waste to take them to the indian restaurent. Ashu would eat only naan and nothing else and aj won't eat anything and concentrate on running around and pulling things from the tables. This time they both enjoyed the food too. I probably jinxed it! We went quite late so probably they were really hungry and the quieter environment made them quiet too! We were sooo tired and sleepy after eating out,but the kids were fresh and in full form...there is nothing new there.

Feb 15 ----------
Tutu's attagasam has become too much. He has started annoying Ashu way too much. It's way too funny to watch though :) Hehehe...I gave them both a book for Vday. I gave 'Pirates don't change diapers' for Ashu and he said it's pretty funny. I gave llama llama mad at mama for Aj and i read it for him. He sat thro' the whole book and was giggling for certain things :) Looked like he enjoyed the book thoroughly. Also, after i was done, he was reading llama llaama mmaaamma...:)
I baked little hearts for them and guess what they were more like little funny shapes. They were just okay because even after baking for more than 45 minutes they were still not crisp. i think the oven is not working properly :( Seriously...i'm not trying to blame it on the oven ;-)

Feb 17 ----------
Ashu and Me have become like Senthil and Gaunda mani...You know how Senthil would ask questions that are impossible to answer..he's doing that to me now!! I was going thro' the weekly note that Ms.West sends to all the parents. In that, she had mentioned that most of the students have started AR and some have even started getting certificates. I believe they get certificates when they finish 'n' no. of books. She also mentioned that lot of students are trying to finish more books so they can get ceritificates, and don't care about quality over quantity and that she's gonna count only the tests where they got over 80%...Ashu has got 100% in all the tests so far, except one in which he got 80 as he missed one question. I dont know how many books they need to finish to get a certificate and i asked Ashu to find out how many books he needs to finish to get a certificate and he casually said I will TRY to find out..That was my first GRR..then, i asked him how come there are some kids that got certificates already and why he couldn't finish that many books. He said but i read higher level books than them. Fair enough..because it may take more time to finish those books. But, to annoy me he added to what he said and asked ' Didn't you read about what Ms.West said about quantity and quality?' why are you asking me about quantity...Now seriously..doesn't it sound like Senthil Gaunda mani dialogues?
Today morning Aju saw a commercial of Dora the explorer where Boots ran to Dora and gave a hug and said Dooooraa in a loving way. He came to me and gave a hug and said Dooooraa in the same way as boots. it was soooo cute :)
