After the circus saga, we had a quiet friday. When i say quiet, u should understand that it is just relative ;-) Saturday was okay as B was returning from Atlanta and that kept me going and as soon as he came, we went to a birthday party. It was Yash's 4th bday and his sis Anou's 1st bday. They were both born on Oct 11th, cool eh?
Ashu had a blast. It was at the new indian restaurent and it is not complete yet, so the kids (big ones) had lot of space to play.Aj was busy as usual. Getting thro' the nook and corner of every table that was close to the wall. Maybe he's reminding me that i need to shed few pounds ;-) He was playing with Kalyani and Shivani for most part...There were 3 other kids around his age and they were quiet and sitting like laddoos making me Jealous of their moms who were happily chatting ;-) Well...Aj was a laddooo too, but a rolling laddu :-) People were asking me what i feed him because he was full of energy. They also commented (or cursed) that he looked so energetic that he might not sleep before 1 in the night! He did stay up till 12, though!!
I taught him Farmer in the dell about 2, 3 weeks back and he loved it. He didnt repeat a single word though when i sang it to him. After few times he lost the fascination for the song and we moved on to the next and then to the next..and so on..Yday, i went back to this song
while changing his diaper to keep him still and i was so surprised that he remembered each and every thing in the correct order. Ashu got so excited.
The song goes like this and Aj sang the words highlighted in blue...at the right place, at the right time :-)

Ashu is a total mama's boy - mostly. The rebel in him pops out quite often after he started school.I think it's the age. I tried telling him nicely that throwing tantrums will not get what he wants. Nope..didn't work.He was all over me and took advantage of the fact that i was being nice. Then, as a next step we had screaming matches. It was a lose-lose situation and didn't go well with me. I am not the kind who can yell and just walk away. I sit and brood over it for hours and
it ruins the whole day for me. Now, what is the next tactic? I record his favorite programs in DVR and if he throws a tantrum which is not reasonable, i delete a program. This works like magic, mostly. It is not nice, but i've learnt that nice doesn't work with boys! :)
