Dentist Visit
Last week was Aj's first dentist visit. We took both Ashu and AJ and Ashu did great as usual. Aj was okay at the first. I was actually expecting him to throw a fit when they asked him to open his mouth, but he did fine. When they started brushing his teeth to apply flouride he just started chomping on the brush. After that, when the dentist came he was pretty pissed off because we had to wait for 30+ minutes. By that time he started getting impatient and refused to open his mouth to the dentist..we finally tried several tricks and made him open. No cavities! Sigh!
School Reopens!!
Ashu's school started last week and his teacher is Ms.Oster. She didn't talk much the first day and i left with a wierd feeling, but now i'm seeing Ashu's work and the pace in which she is giving classwork and i'm slowly getting happy :-)
Ashu was a little bummed on first day because he and his buddy A are in different classes again, but his daycare friend Sam is in his class now and he's another smarty pants and i'm thinking there will be some healthy competition between them. Yay!
Aj is into new room and is kalakkifying as usual. All teachers are awe-struck that he can read lot of words already. I started potty training him, finally! Yeah, i am late with him, but with my health and busy work schedule it was so hard to initiate the process. He is so different from Ashu. Not so easy..This one's gonna give me more greys for sure :-) If i take him to the potty chair he goes..no fuss there, but if he doesn't have to go and i take him by mistake he sits there till it comes and doesn't let me move..Aaargh!! Then, when he wants to go potty he just removes the pullups and goes right there.. My hands are so sore with all the cleaning!! Sigh!
We had a get2gether at Dr.C's house and both kids had a riot. Ashu, especially. There were 5 boys his age group and 2 older boys. They made a huge mess but had tons of fun. Sangeetha (Dr. C's wife) is patience personified. She did not mind the mess at all. She was way too cool. I was the one who was getting tensed. If it were my house my BP would have shot up, i guess! :)
Aj had fun in his own way. He was really good and did not make any mess. Overall, both were very well behaved! Towards the end, aj started running behind the older boys and they literally ran over him once and we all ran towards aj thinking he will start crying, but my tough boy just bounced back in a fraction of a second and started running behind them. Everyone was awestruck at his enthusiasm :-)
More later folks!
