I took ashu to watch Bedtime stories. I wanted to take him for Bolt after we came back from india,but the movie was out of the theaters when B came back from Atlanta. I was feeling guilty for not taking him to Bolt and i also wanted some time with him, without having little tutu annoying him ;-) He enjoyed the movie so much. It was funny. I laughed out loud at few scenes, but i was concerned with the language. dat's a different story.
When we returned tutu was sleeping and he woke up crying, after sometime. Probably he realized that we went somewhere fun without him? Hmmm He did something funny that evening. I was talking to amma and he was leaning on the entertainment center was turning on/off the t.v. again and again with his toes!! Yep, you heard me right? He was standing in one leg and was turning on/off with the other leg. Once his foot slipped and hit the channel button instead of the on/off button and it changed the channel and the pic went away. He said 'Oh no', which was tooooo funny.

Ussss habbaa

Jan 7 :
When i drop ashu, aj doesn't want to come back to the car with me. He always wants to run back to ashu's class. It is really difficult for me to carry him and walk all the way back to the car, especially with his jacket on. So, for couple of days i said 'uss habba ippove kanna kattudhe', after i put him in the car seat. Second day evening, when i picked up aj from jl and put him in the car seat, he said 'uss habba..kattudhe''...it was so funny. i guess he assumed that i was gonna say that every time i put him in the car seat.
Jan 13.
When i drop aj in the daycare, sometimes, he starts playing right away n doesn't cry when i leave. But, sometimes he starts crying and i say 'it's okay aj, mommy will come back soon'. Today, when i dropped him, he looked at me and said 'it's okay' :-)
Hey, i forgot to tell everyone how ashu put blade on me in frankfurt. actually it's not blade..it's maha rambam. I was already tensed about missing the chennai flight and the ticketing person took a lot of time to give my tickets as she needed to print paper ticket for infant. Oru vazhiya ellam set aagi gate-kku vandhu habbada-nu okkandha...this guy asked me 'where we were'. i said 'Frankfurt'. He said hmm..why did we come to frankfurt by flight, we could've come by car (in case you are wondering what he is blabbering, there is a frankfurt in Kentucky (our neighbouring state). He was trying to aruthufying me. i did not reply as i was really tired. He continued saying ' we came all the way down to Atlanta to go back to Frankfurt (ky). at this point, i was ready to cry. then i told him to be quiet and said it's not ky frankfurt it is germany frankfurt and he was laughing.
Jan 15.
Ashu got his report card. Got E (Excellent) in all, G (Good) - music and S(Satisfactory) in Physical Education. Ennoda payyana irundhundu...he got only G in music..hmm! :-) Anyways, i have to get him something for getting E in all subjects plus library.
Aj has become ashu's copy cat. He wants to do whatever ashu is doing and just like him too. That annoys ashu sometime though. poor dude!! :)
I hear him say :Mommy aj is copy-catting me. 'catting'..we can add that in webster, can't we? :-)
Ms.Cathy was teaching aj flash cards and he could tell most of it. When he sees a cake or balloons, he sings athi bathday tulu. (Happy b'day to you!) Now he says Gauthaaam. When i was talking to gau the other day i pretended like i could not find out who it was and Gau said, 'naan dhaan gautham athai' and i said 'Gautham-a, enakku theriave illai' and aj kept saying Gauthaam gauthaam.
Jan 17 -
We went to Aksheeta's birthday party at Pump it up. Ashu started playing in those inflatable thingys as soon as we went. Aj was just looking around and we thought he was probably scared. B got him down twice and he tried to enter an inflatable thing both times and came out immediately. But after 5 minutes he was fully charged. He didn't want us near him. He kept running around and climbing into each of those inflatables there and was jumping and rolling around in those. It was so funny. He went and sat with 2 big girls who were complete strangers to him. He pretended like he was listening to what they were talking and he was part of the group. It was so funny. Ashu enjoyed to some extent, but was little bored as he didn't have his friends and there were no boys around his age. When we left, aj started crying as soon as we put him in the carseat! Aathukku poga poromnu therinjuduthu pola irukku :)
Jan 18 -
I wanted to goto sleep at 11, but aj decided otherwise. He was bright and bushy tailed...When B came to sleep around 12.30 after finishing his exams, he was expecting us to be fast asleep and was startled to see aj jumping around in the bed and a pathetic me watching that. He asked me why he didnt sleep and i said, 'Eppo paathalaum indha aj kottam adikkardhu'. Aj listened to it and started saying 'Eppothalum aj...eppothaalum aj'..Then he turned around and saw Ashu sleeping and said 'Eppothaalum ashu..eppothaalum ashu' . B said 'aj ashu-a izhukkadha..' and aj reacted as if he understood and changed it back to eppothaalum aj :-) He kept doing this over and over for sometime. After sometime he got bored of this game and went to ashu and said 'Ashu eat fast!' :-) Ashu was fast asleep though! :D
He says everybody's name correctly. Even gautham, which i think is quite complicated. Only name that he messes is Govinda thatha's name. He says Goivan :-) That's funny because i feel the name 'Govindan' is easy to say compared to most other names in our family!! :)
He says my name as Vitheeya and says B and Ashu's name properly.

India Trip
India trip was hectic - as expected. Though it was nice to meet all the loved ones..Appa's absence was more prominent :( It was just running in the back of my mind..no matter what i was doing. I guess it will never be the same...
Anyways, trip starting-e sari illai. Vizhundhi vaari kelambinaa apdi dhaan :-( Ashu was so good in the flight and in the airport..Ajju dhaan romba veshamam. Ippo nenacha, it is funny. appo....? Adhu appo :-) We reached b'lore at 2.20 in the night, appo balaji kitta thaavindu ponadhudhaan..whenever he saw balaji he was after him. (I secretly was jumping with joy because he didn't want me to carry him if balaji was there... hehehe)
As soon as we went to my inlaws' place, AJ walked right away into the balcony and threw a clip down. Then, he went to the pooja room and got gerber bottle and was running to throw it down the balcony. Luckily i caught it on time..illana yaaru emergency odiruppalo. Like last year, he was after the wash basin tap. I took so much care to make sure he doesn't fall sick, by giving him only boiled mineral water..carrying bottles of mineral water wherever i went and this little dude was opening the washbasin tap and licking that water! Eww!
Ashu has become very matured ..not much veshamam this time. He was happy with Pogo and Books when he was alone. He was playing with Janani, Gau and Srinithi whenever he was with them. Saligramam-la Aj and Srinithi-kku 18 porutham and Tiruvanmyur-la Ashu and Gau-kku 18 porutham. Panchayathu panni, i've become like naatamai vijayakumar.
We visited all mamas' houses too. Kids had a blast with all the mamas (that includes vinod karthik pappu manoj..haha!) They didn't kandufy me at all. Infact, when we were in appu mama's house, i went with vinod and karthik to buy imported diapers for aj and it took one hour for us to come back since we went for a jolly walk! Aj mottai didn't even search for me!!! Again i was doing the happy dance inside. Didn't want to get caught ;-) Ashu learnt(! or so he claims!) to play cricket at gannu mama's house. Pappu was playing games in his pc and Ashu was hero-worshipping him!! ;-) The best part was - AJ kept troubling pappu. This is what i call 'Sweet revenge!' :-)
When we were in appu mama's house, didnt feel like sleeping, so vinod and i were chatting till 5 in the morning and then i slept till God knows when and poor dude went to office :D We did the same at gannu mama's house too. but not till 5, only till 1.45. In ramani mama's house, as soon as we entered AJ pushed all of his tools. Poor mama..he would've taken days to straighten them out. Karthik got milk peda from Sri krishna and Aj took a whole piece and shoved it in his mouth. Reminded me of the mysore pa incident with Ashu when he was that age :) Ashu was stealing mysore pa (a big block) from the kitchen and me and mil saw and screamed ashu ashu on top of our lungs that he got totally scared and threw them on the floor and ran away.
